to be honest, if i was prettier i would be trying to do the same thing as lana del rey

i have a passable (not very good) singing voice, but i can pull off looking like i can sing a few manageable songs…and if i was prettier i’d love to be like her, to be wispy and mysterious and like this vacant all-american tragic girl

i actually used to think about this a lot before i’d heard of her, like how cool it would be to start a band with some guys and play shows in brooklyn and just be all fluttery and weird onstage and not be a very good singer but still able to become relatively well-known
